The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams competed at the Spartan Classic on Sep. 26.
The Women’s team had two runners compete in Creston. Since the competition takes the top five times from each team, the Bears did not qualify for team scores.
On the 5K course, DMACC’s Wendy Liera crossed the finish line with a time of 23:56:24 for seventh place. Karima Koko took 10th place with a time of 25:11.03.
The Men’s team was also unable to qualify for team scores because only 4 runners competed.
DMACC’s Preston Rogers finished in 19th place running the 8K course in 31:36.31. Cameron Campbell took 30th place with a time of 33:49.82. Other DMACC runners were Riley Heilskov in 36th position with a 34:54.19 time and Cole Bennett capturing 38th place in 36:18.19.
Both teams will be set to run again at the Trent Smith Invitational this Friday, Oct. 9.
