The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) sophomore Moriah Johnson of Ankeny to the 2016 NJCAA Division II Volleyball Second All-American Team.

Johnson is the 16th DMACC volleyball player to earn All-American honors during Patty Harrison’s 13-year tenure as the head coach.

Johnson led DMACC to a 23-13 record and a second-place finish in the NJCAA Region XI-A Volleyball Tournament.

Johnson led DMACC in kills with 497, averaging 3.91 kills per set. She hit. 260 for the season, getting her 497n kills from 1,220 attacks with 178 hitting errors. Johnson finished the season with nine assists, 31 ace serves, 165 digs and 76 blocks, including 50 block assists.
