Reigning NBA MVP Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder has made history again. For the second year in a row Westbrook messed around and averaged a triple double. He scored 25 points, 10 assist, and 10 rebounds a game in the 2017-2018 NBA season. Last season Westbrook tied Oscar “Big O” Robertson as the only player in NBA history to average a triple double. Now Westbrook stands alone as the only player to achieve such as feat twice. Most point guards can score and gather assists at the NBA level. But, not many can rebound at the rate Russell can. To average 10 rebounds a game he has to outwork the forwards and centers to get boards. Forwards and centers in the NBA on average are anywhere from 6’8 to 7’0 feet tall. Russell is 6’3 and ranks 10th in the NBA in rebounds per game. While leading the NBA in assists and 7th in the league in points per game. Congratulations to Russell Westbrook on making history again you deserve it.
