Celina Karp Biniaz will be speaking at the DMACC Boone Campus Auditorium this Thursday, April 4, from 11:15 am to 12:40 pm. Biniaz is one of the last survivors of the Holocaust, and she will be sharing her story. Biniaz, who is now 87 years old, grew up in Karkow, Poland, and ended up graduating from Des Moines North High School, as well as Grinnell College. Biniaz will be talking about how she was on Schindlers’ List, ended up being sent to Auschwitz by accident, and how she was forced to plead for her life in front of Josef Mengele. Come to the auditorium Thursday at 11:15 am to hear the story of the Holocaust from one of the last remaining survivors.
