The DMACC men’s golf team traveled out to Fort Dodge last Wednesday to hit the links for the second time this fall.
Led by a trio of golfers who tied for third place, the Bears were able to finish as the runner up in the Iowa Central Invitational. The three golfers, Tyler Sansgaard, Joe Dean, and Trevor Heinen, each posted a four over par (75).
Dylan Ellis and Dylan Sporrer of DMACC tied for 12th at a score of 79, while Ryan Leath shot an 80, and Jack West scored an 82.
Although a second place team finish is not something to be discouraged by, the Bears feel like they will only improve from here.
“We certainly did not play up to our capabilities, and probably deserved our second place finish.” DMACC men’s golf head coach Chris Seaboch said. “Luckily, all of our goals are still attainable for the year.”
