DMACC Men’s basketball will play their final regular season home game tonight (3/31) at 7 p.m. against the Iowa Central Titans. DMACC is coming into this game with their new ranking of #3 in the NJCAA at a record of 15-4. The Titans travel to Boone with a 6-13 record.

The Bears lost their last two home games, but bounced back after the pair of defeats with a pair of victories including a blowout win against Northeast and a win against #18 Kirkwood. Iowa Central are hot at the moment winning their last three games. This streak could cause some problems for the Bears, however the last time these two teams met was in Fort Dodge where DMACC won by a convincing 31 points.

The praise has been coming in heavily for DMACC this past week. Not only did the Bears clinch the number 1 seed in the NJCAA XI Region on Monday, Mark Bradshaw added to the list of men’s basketball players to become the ICCAC Player of The Week. He’s the third player from this year’s basketball squad, joining Chrisitan Haefner and Willie Guy.

Women’s basketball will also be facing off against Iowa Central tonight at 5 PM. DMACC is 13-5 after dropping to 18th in the NJCAA rankings. Iowa Central sits at 10-7 for their trip to Boone.

The Lady Bears return home after a difficult set of games on the road where they dropped both results against Northeast and Kirkwood. The skid caused DMACC to drop from 11th in the national polls to 18th for their final home matchup. The Titans, on the other hand, have been red hot, winning their last six games in a row, four of which were by double digits.

In both of DMACC’s last two losses, they shot less than 37% from the field. If the Bears want to get back to their winning ways they’re going to have to fix their shooting slump against one of the hottest teams in the conference.
