As the spring semester is wrapping up, it becomes very easy to lose sight of school and get lost in the nice weather. Many students would much rather spend time outside than inside doing their homework. Especially after being inside for months on end. There are a few things you can do to keep yourself on track.

Set deadlines for yourself. Make sure you have a date in mind for completion. This will help you avoid getting docked points for late assignments. If you have a specific date in mind, you can plan around it accordingly, and become more efficient overall.

Stay organized. Keep using your planner, or however you keep yourself on task. Organization is the number one tool for success. If you have everything in order, it makes school (and life) much easier.

Get plenty of sleep. Sleep is the number one cause of missed classes in college. Make sure to get at least eight hours every night. Especially at the end of the semester when your teachers are giving you vital information about finals week and your upcoming tests. Remember, a good night’s sleep is better than any energy drink.

Remember to study. With the weather being as nice as it is, it becomes much harder to make that trip to the library for a couple hours a day. Most people would rather be outside in the sun. Your test scores don’t care about how nice the weather is.

Get to class. This goes along with remembering to study. Even though the weather is impeccable, class still goes on. The best thing you can do for yourself is go to class everyday.
