Every year DMACC has a play in the spring and the fall, but many people neglect to attend. If you would like to expand your cultural horizons, I recommend you go. I sat down with the woman in charge, Kay Mueller. She had some vital information to share with us regarding the play.
What is the play? “The play for this semester is called Drinking Habits. It is a comedy that involves nuns, wine, and a mystery. I don’t want to give the rest away; you will have to see it for yourself.”
Where is the play? “The play will be taking place in the DMACC theater on the Boone campus.”
When is the play? “The official date has not yet been determined. It is to take place sometime at the end of March or early April.”
Auditions for the play are going to be held January 30th from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. There are many parts for anyone who wants to try it. There are 3 men’s roles: George, who is a handyman, Paul- a reporter, and Father Chenille- a Priest. There are also 4 Women’s roles available. Sister Augusta, Sister Philamena, Mother Superior, and Sister Mary Catherine. If you have any questions or concerns about the play, Kay Mueller is the person to talk to. You can either email her, call her, or stop by her office in room 132. She would be more than happy to help.
