The In My Boots 5k took place despite the weather on the 14th, and the community came together to run, walk, and ruck. Some service animals were in attendance, and overall the morning was full of community spirit and adrenaline. Sean Taylor’s race was once again a hit, with a full building of runners and a strong staff of volunteers. The proceeds raised exceed $10,000 and will help train service animals through Paws & Effect.
After the run, participants were treated to a pancake brunch served by student volunteers and the awards were announced. The winners received the classic bobbleheads and each category’s first placers were met with applause. Overall, the event was a fun gathering and was even attended by one of the Paws & Effect service dogs (seen above).
