From Saturday April 13th to the following Saturday April 20th, DMACC is celebrating Earth Week! Through the week there are events that will take place in the Boone DMACC Courter Center and auditorium. From breakfasts to environment-related exhibits to speakers to volunteer efforts, Earth Week is packed full of activities for those interested in taking part of Earth Week.
Tuesday April 16th
8:30-9:00am – Earth Rise Breakfast with complimentary fruit, muffins, bagels, and juice
9:00am-3:00pm – Earth Day Fair with environmental-related exhibits
11:00am-1:00pm – Live music by Luke LeBlanc
1:00 – Dan Lease will be presenting reptiles in room 171
Wednesday April 17th
8:30-9:00am – Earth Rise Breakfast with complimentary fruit, muffins, bagels, and juice
9:00am-3:00pm – Earth Day Fair
12:10-12:45pm – Auditorium speaker Professor Charles Irwin: Coal mining in Boone, Iowa
Thursday April 18th

9:00am-3:00pm – Earth Day Fair
11:00am-1:00pm – PTK Highway 30 clean-up
11:30am-12:30pm – Environmental Readings by students and faculty
12:10pm – Recycling presentation by John Rosa of the Boone County Landfill
Saturday April 20th
9:00am-12:00pm – 5K In Your Boots Walk/Run/Ruck in McHose Park, Boone Iowa
