The DMACC Volleyball team is sitting at #16 in the NJCAA rankings through 22 games this year. The rest of October through November starts a busy schedule for the Bears. From October 13-31, the Bears will play 12 matches, which includes two tournaments and the Regional Tournament taking place October 30-31. The District Tournament will be played on November 6, with the NJCAA National Tournament following November 18-20.
In their last six games, the Bears post a 4-2 record, with all four wins coming in 3-0 sweeps. They are also coming off of their most efficient game attacking, posting .308 successful attack rating versus Southeastern. Anna Niehaus led the Bears that game with 15 kills. Kylie Welch and Rachel Eddy led the team with 15 and 14 digs respectively. The Bears cruised to a 3-0 win versus Southeastern, taking all three sets: 25-13, 25-19, 25-21.
The Bears will play a ranked Hawkeye College team on Wednesday, October 13, 7:00 PM at home. The Hawkeye College Red Tails are the only ranked team left on the Bears regular season schedule. The Bears will play in the Triton Invitation in Fort Dodge on Friday, October 15. They will take on Cowley at 1:00 PM and Central (NE) at 4:30 PM. They will then go to Chanute, Kansas for the two day Neosho tournament scheduled for October 22 and 23. The Bears will play two games each day. The first day, DMACC will match up against Coffeyville Community College and Neosho county at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The second day, the Bears will face Fort Scott and Ottawa JV at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
